The November Swarm Community Call came packed with great news. The network has grown to almost 20,000 nodes, showing an incredible influx over the last couple of months.
The Swarm Foundation, in collaboration with ESA Φ-lab, is excited to announce an upcoming workshop designed to foster groundbreaking collaborations between the Web3 and Earth Observation (EO) communities.
The Swarm Foundation is excited to announce two upcoming workshops in December, designed to empower you as an independent, self-sovereign agent in the digital world. These workshops will delve into the realms of permissionless publishing and the establishment of private gateways to the decentralised Swarm network.
Join us at an online event on 21 December, as the winter solstice marks the rebirth of the Sun, to launch the Swarm 2.0 era together
Swarm network is undergoing exponential growth, currently accounting for well over 16k active nodes, which is a 4.01x monthly increase, allowing for excellent levels of data replication, further decentralisation and robustness of the network in general.
In the past month, the most notable release was Bee 1.17.4. It features an advanced Bee logging system for the pushsync and the retrieval protocols, vital components responsible for syncing chunks among nodes. Since this is a breaking change, all node operators should update to the latest version of Bee as soon as possible, if they haven't yet.
Summer is over and the Swarm Community Call on the last day of August was a great way to wrap it up. Here’s a recap for those who missed it.
For those who missed out on our monthly gathering on Discord, with the latest news, retrospective and a debate on features and future plans, here is a short recap of July's Swarm Community Call.

This year, the network's global community gathered in the virtual world, giving all its diverse members a chance to watch and listen to leading voices and keen enthusiasts across different fields on the online stage.
It has been three long years since our last gathering in the vibrant city of Madrid, where ideas sparked, connections were made, and the Swarm community came together.
The May Swarm Community Call was inspiring and full of optimism: the Swarm network has been demonstrating remarkable performance for almost two weeks, maintaining a 0% error rate on uploads and downloads.
The April Swarm Community Call was focused on tools that provide a more numbers-based look at the Swarm network, and on easy publishing of unstoppable content on Swarm.
The Swarm Community Call began with a round of updates.
The main topic of the February Swarm Community Call was the postage stamp price calibration, which took place on 22 February. The recalibration increased the price of storage by 6000x

On 21 December, let’s venture forth together and explore the universe of possibilities enabled by Swarm and its emerging ecosystem.
The October Monthly Ecosystem Call focused on the storage incentives upgrade (the progress so far) and Swarm network’s ecosystem.
End of the month is here, and as is now the habit, last Thursday was reserved for the Monthly Ecosystem Call
The September Monthly Ecosystem Call was dedicated to storage incentives — their upgrade roadmap, specific launch dates and their different features, such as the price oracle.
